## Background

I've worked independently since 2019 on e-commerce projects: troubleshooting, development, migration, hosting, security. Two platforms account for most of my experience, PrestaShop and WooCommerce, because they're the ones I've worked with most consistently from the start. I also work on Shopify, and I build outside the standard e-commerce scope in PHP, with the Laravel framework, and in Node.js when a project calls for it.

I don't have an agency behind me. That's not a default choice: I'd rather stay on the code and the technical diagnosis than manage a team, and I'd rather a client know exactly who they're talking to from the first message through to delivery.

## How I work

1. **Understand before proposing** — I ask precise questions about the actual situation before suggesting a solution or a price, even if that takes a bit of time upfront.
2. **A written brief, even a short one** — What will be done and what won't is put in writing, to avoid misunderstandings once work has started.
3. **Direct work on the code** — No intermediary between diagnosis and fix: the person who looks at the problem is the one who fixes it.
4. **Honest feedback, even when it's not what you want to hear** — If a project isn't feasible under the conditions requested, or if the existing code needs a larger rebuild, I say so before I start billing time.

## What I won't do

> I don't promise a specific number for traffic, revenue or search rankings: too many factors outside my control affect those outcomes for any such promise to be honest. I don't sell services I don't master myself, like graphic design or social media management. And I don't start development without at least a written brief, even for a client I already know.

## FAQ

### Why work with a freelancer rather than an agency?

Because you talk directly to the person writing the code, with no sales layer in between. In exchange, I can't put a team on a project that needs several specialists at once, and I say so when that's the case.

### Do you only work remotely?

Almost all work is done remotely. An on-site visit is occasionally possible depending on the situation, discussed case by case.

### Which technologies are you most comfortable with?

PrestaShop and WooCommerce first, where I have the most accumulated experience. Shopify, PHP/Laravel and Node.js round this out for needs that fall outside a standard e-commerce platform.

### Do you take on every project you're offered?

No. If a project doesn't match my skills, or if the requested deadline isn't realistic given what it involves technically, I say so rather than accept and hope it works out.

### How do you guarantee the confidentiality of my data?

Any access you give me is used solely for the work requested. I can sign a confidentiality agreement if your business requires one, and I never use a client project as a public reference without prior explicit agreement.
